From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 99
When you keep pushing yourself to do the work, you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish with your weight-loss goals.
This is one of the hardest lessons for me!
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Identify the barriers and excuses that get in the way of your success. Make a decision that you will do the work to overcome them.
Even after all the years I’ve worked on this, I still struggle at times to “do the work.” I want managing my weight to be easier and not take so much effort. I need to go back to some basics that I know are a critical part of my work.
2. Determine what’s needed for doing the work in these areas. Write a plan for this.
Put exercise into my schedule and do it every day, even when I’m tired and don’t feel like it. Plan ahead for healthy meals and make sure I have good food options on hand. Monitor times when I use food to cope and use all the tools I know.
3. Do at least one thing today that demonstrates that you are doing the work.
This afternoon, I will do my exercise routine that includes cardio as well as stretching and free weights.
I think this lesson is one of the hardest ones in the book. It really takes strong commitment and determination to do the work every day. But without it, the odes are that we won’t be successful long-term.
