From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 95
When your next birthday comes, make it part of your healthy plan for the year and celebrate by doing some amazing self-care.
It might even make you feel younger instead of a year older!
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Locate your next birthday on a calendar and write, “Ultimate self-care day.”
I already have my desk calendar for next year so I wrote it on my birthday, January 13th.
2. Create a list of things you will do that day for nurturing and self-care.
Exercise. Since it’s winter, I’ll go to the health club or walk on my treadmill at home.
Eat one or two pieces of fruit and some healthy vegetables.
Drink lots of water.
Play my piano.
Do nurturing things such as have a cup of tea and read.
Go to church since my birthday is on a Sunday.
3. Decide which people in your life you will eat cake for. If someone is not on your list, skip the birthday cake.
I am fortunate because I don’t have a lot of work friends or gatherings where people celebrate birthdays. I might eat cake for a few immediate family members. I did eat a small piece of cake last year for a great friend who turned 90.
