From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 81
Instead of wasting energy or eating over situations that aren’t going to change, learn to identify the problems inside a predicament.
With each of those problems, take action in places where it will make a difference.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Identify a couple of predicaments in your life that won’t change quickly.
Still don’t have close friends since we moved to Iowa
Financial challenges
My weight is still higher than I want
My dog is a puppy
Don’t have a good church connection
2. Below each predicament, figure out a few specific problems.
Hard to build new friendships
Worry about money
Frustrated with my weight
Puppy barks a lot, occasionally messes in the house
Feel disconnected spiritually
3. Create action steps for each problem. Put some of them in place today.
Set up coffee with possible friends – will reach out to Mary today
Review budget and plan ways to manage such as eating at home more
Work on exercise plans, play tennis this Friday
Put the puppy outside more often, put her in kennel when she barks too much
Try new church this Sunday
I love this exercise- it always helps me figure out some of the things that are bothering me and come up with solutions instead of eating to deal with them.
