From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 79
Do you see yourself as a strong, vibrant, healthy person?
Let go of any negative identity and start viewing yourself as a positive, successful person.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Write about times you rebel or feel resentful in your weight-loss efforts.
Many times I wish it wasn’t so hard to stay focused and on track! As I’ve gotten older, a lot of things take more effort. I have to push myself harder with exercise to accomplish the same level that used to be easy.
2. Define your positive identity with words such as strong, vibrant and healthy.
I like to review what I wrote for Day 89 in “100 Days of Weight Loss” where you make a list of what you are like at your best. It reminds me of my true identity of being an energetic, happy, good with people, physically strong and productive person.
3. Live in that identity today and record how it changes your behaviors.
By acting as if I really am a strong, vibrant, healthy person, I do a much better job with my eating and my exercise. It’s as though I want to make sure my life matches my internal vision and identity.
