From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 72
Always hold a vision of the outcome you want. Imagine having more energy, moving easier and enjoying better health.
Let these images sustain you, even during times when you take a break to rest and recover.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Create a vision in the space below. Add images and words that show the outcomes you want.
My vision is to reach and maintain a healthy weight long-term. I also want to feel healthy and strong with good exercise endurance as well as flexibility.
I will be exercising almost daily and following a healthy eating plan 95% of the time.
2. Describe how you will feel when you reach these outcomes.
I will feel healthy and strong. I will also feel a renewed level of commitment to staying with my vision and living it long term.
3. Review your vision at the end of the day and record your response to it.
I always love picturing the outcome of my efforts. Even at my goal weight, I believe that holding the vision is critical to my life.
Here’s an example of how I work hard to hold my vision each day. A couple years ago, my husband and I spent most of the day at the Minnesota State Fair with a couple of family members. It rained a bunch right at dinner time, so we took shelter in the “food building” which had a huge number of vendors selling all types of food, most of it fried or high calorie. After walking the entire building a couple of times, I discovered a place that sold wraps and I ordered a delicious one with chicken, apples and cranberries and lettuce in it.
Then we saw a Beach Boys concert at the Grandstand (which was wonderful!) But my sister and I got turned around in the fairgrounds and we all ended up walking almost two miles (at midnight) to get to our car. Even though it was challenging at the time, I loved how it helped me get some amazing exercise in without having to plan it.
