From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 65
Changing the way you show feelings doesn’t have to be traumatic.
You can start gradually, as I did, by expressing your emotions on a limited basis. Eventually, demonstrating your feelings will become easier and more enjoyable.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Describe a situation where you want to show your emotions.
This seems difficult right now. I don’t seem to have strong emotions lately and I miss that. But at the same time, most of my friends and family members seem to have pulled inside too, making it hard to show feeling with them.
2. Make a plan for expressing your feelings. Describe the setting and what you’ll do.
I will do more sharing about my thoughts and feelings with several friends. I will reach out to one especially who is very open to expressing feelings and will share openly and give her hugs when I see her.
3. When the time comes, carry out your plan. Write about how it worked.
I have set up a lunch meeting with her and will carry out my plan. I will also reach out to other friends and connections and show emotions of love and caring.
