From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 59
There are a lot of times in life when you simply can’t get enough. During these times, remember that food won’t fix your empty heart.
Instead, you have to identify what you need, then take care of those needs through nurturing and self-care activities.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Identify a recent time when you couldn’t get enough of something you needed.
I struggle with this in a lot of areas- closeness to family members, friends who don’t reach out to me, connection with church and the church members.
2. Write a list of specific needs related to that time or event.
More time with family members
Stronger friendships
Church home where I feel connected to my spiritual life, friends at the church.
3. Write a plan for how you can take care of your needs when there isn’t enough.
Today I will reach out to both family members and some new friends and show interest and concern instead of waiting for others to take care of me.
