From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 56
Any time you are feeling bored, take a few minutes to determine what’s prompting your thoughts.
Then use solutions that match your specific needs instead of eating because you are bored.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Create a challenge list to use next time you feel bored. Include things that will give you meaning or deepen your knowledge and skills.
Play the piano using my lesson books to improve my skills.
Read my “Cooking for Two” recipe book and pick out a new one to try soon.
Listen to podcasts or one of my learning programs on book marketing.
2. Do at least one of the things on your list today.
I studied my recipes for cooking fish, especially salmon.
I will plan to make a salmon dinner later this week.
I also listened to part of an audio program on using Facebook for book marketing.
3. Record how that worked and whether it helped you avoid food temptations.
As long as I go to my list of ideas for meaning and challenge, I can usually ignore food and snacks. I plan to expand that list to include more books and movies so I have a resource list.
