Identifying what you need won’t always stop you from emotional eating.
But at least it will help you see the connection of how food takes care of you.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Write the words, “What do I need?” Then make a list of your needs. Keep asking the question, “What else do I need?” until you have at least ten things.
What do I need?
More energy
Better finances
More friends
Time with family
To feel settled, less worry
More music, reading
Some good learning options
Get my home fixed up with new decorating, painting
To feel competent in many areas of life
2. Put a check mark or star by the ones that are most important right now.
More energy
More friends
Good learning options
3. Choose one thing from your list and do something today that will help take care of that need.
Have lunch with my sister, Laura. I enjoy her company.
Plan my vacation details to make it feel fun and low stress.
