From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 50
By taking care of your emotional bucket at intervals, you’ll prevent it from getting so low you feel drained and empty.
Each day, plan a few things that will fill your level of emotional energy back up, even just a little.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Write a list of things that drain your emotional energy.
Being tired
Having disappointments. Yesterday’s church service was a real downer. We are ready to change churches again.
Financial concerns
Trying to find new friends in our home here in Iowa.
2. Write a second list of things that build your emotional energy back up.
Long talks with a friend or one of my sisters
Exercise, especially long walks outdoors.
Listening to music, especially live bands. Also going to plays or other theater events.
3. Evaluate the current level of your emotional bucket and plan ways to improve it daily.
The level feels kind of low lately. I’m finally doing better again with my health so I think that will help. We are going on a short vacation soon and that will boost me up. I’m also going to work on getting more music into my life. Today, I will play my piano!
