If you believe you can manage your actions by the choices you make, you won’t have to worry about willpower abandoning you at the wrong moment.
Instead, just pull another item from your strategy list and face down the food temptation without a hitch.
1. Think about places where you’ll face a food temptation today.
Eating pre-dinner snacks
Ice cream in evenings
2. Create a new mindset for protecting yourself from unplanned eating.
Stay present, remember my goals.
Don’t be a victim and say “I can’t help it”
A cup of herbal tea at bedtime will also work at bedtime. It doesn’t have to be ice cream.
3. Record your success with using this new mindset.
It gives me confidence that I can approach the challenging times without giving in and going back to old patterns.
