From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 49
Set up a play date for yourself, just like parents do for their children. Your play date can be done alone or with other people.
Think about what would make you laugh, then plan something that will be fun and entertaining.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Create a plan for a play date for yourself, either alone or with another person.
Last week, I set up an afternoon tea meeting with a friend. We both needed a break from life demands and looked forward to our visit. It turned out to be an amazing time with a great balance of serious talk as well as fun discussions about writing. There was some wonderful laughter thrown in as well.
2. Set a day and time for your play date and write down what you will do.
I’ve already completed this great exercise. I will plan more of these again soon. Another place I laugh a lot is watching my puppy run circles in the house.
3. Afterward, describe your play date and how it helped you relax, laugh and have fun.
See my response to #1. I need to figure out how to get a lot more laughter into my life again. It seems the older I get, the more serious I become. But that’s not my true self and I plan to change that in the days ahead.
