From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 35
When you become life tired, self-nurturing activities such as taking a bath or listening to music can help. But sometimes, they aren’t enough.
You need a deeper level of healing, one that reaches your core and pulls it back up. You need renewal.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Decide when you’ll do a renewal walk. Allow plenty of time to focus on details.
Early afternoon- it’s a beautiful day with sunshine and mild temperatures.
2. Record what you noticed or experienced with each of your five senses.
Eyes – saw details on trees such as the shape and style of leaves that I hadn’t noticed before
Ears – heard lots of birds singing. Notices the amazing variety in their songs
Smell – fresh air after a brief rain shower. It smelled really clean and fresh.
Taste – Noticed the taste of my water. It didn’t have much flavor at all, but yet tasted clean, clear and cold
Touch – I touched leaves and flowers I hadn’t ever notices before. The leaves had a lovely smooth texture.
3. Write notes about how your energy and your inner spirit felt after the renewal walk.
This is an amazing activity for getting a total mental break in a short time. I forgot about my stress and the list of things on my mind.
I felt rested and renewed after just a ten-minute walk.
