Day 19 – Hope – the secret word

Day 2From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 19

Even when it seems like you’ll never reach your goals, hope will move you forward and sustain your efforts day after day.

1. How hopeful do you feel right now? A lot, some, a little or not at all? Write it down.

I feel a moderate amount of hope.
I’m still having a bunch of good days on my plan but I keep tucking a few weaker ones in between. (poor food choices, no exercise)
This makes me feel less hopeful about reaching my weight-loss and fitness goals.

2. Describe recent times when you’ve lost hope, including what caused this to happen.

For me, loss of hope is often related to my work (writing and book sales) as well as my health goals.
I get discouraged about lack of progress and not staying consistent. Then I let up on my efforts and stop making progress.

3. Identify one step you can take today to build a sense of hope and optimism.

Remind myself that I’ve done this before and I can do it again.
Also, I am learning new things that I can apply to my long-term goals with maintaining my weight.
