The number one barrier for most people who struggle with their weight is emotional eating.
Personally, no matter how long I’ve worked on this area, it still creeps in at times and I slide back into using food for coping with life.
The past two years of dealing with Covid 19 have challenged me a lot. Being more isolated, and not being able to travel or socialize the ways I did in the past all took a toll.
When I catch myself slipping back into old patterns, I go back to the basic support and instructions from my book Life is Hard, Food is Easy.
“Conquer Emotional Eating” Program for 2022
Beginning next week, I will be sending emails that go through Life is Hard, Food is Easy one chapter at a time. Each one will include a summary of the chapter for that week along with additional insights and ideas to help you master the concepts. The emails will be sent three times a month, on Mondays.
I will also provide workbook and assignment pages that you can download and print. At the end of the program, I will combine all of the assignment pages into a single workbook that you can use for going through the book again.
As you know, I published a new edition of Life is Hard, Food is Easy a few months ago. Most of the content is the same, but the layout has been improved, making it easier to read.
If you already own a copy of the book, you don’t need to buy a new one unless you want to.
But I would suggest you start with a fresh copy because I want you to highlight ideas, take notes and perhaps keep a journal to track your progress.

You can also order it through Barnes and Noble or independent bookstores. Be sure to request the new edition published in 2021.

There is NO fee for this program.
I want you to be able to focus on learning how to conquer emotional eating without concerns about the cost. You don’t even have to sign up for it. The emails will automatically be sent to all of you on my newsletter list.
All I ask is that you tell friends and family members and invite them to sign up for my email list. The easiest way for them to do this is to request my ebook on motivation.

Next Monday, you will receive the first email. It will include an introduction to the book as well downloadable worksheets to get you started on your plan. At the end of each lesson, you will be invited to reply or send me notes about your journey.
I will plan to respond to your notes personally, giving you some of the benefits of having a class but without a strict time to be online.
The program will go from January through the end of May. I have attached a schedule that shows the chapter for each week. I will take a break from the program once a month to allow you to catch up with your work.
I’m excited about offering this program and I feel very confident that it will be a game changer for many of you.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year.

I do need help in dealing with emotional eating to have any hope of following my food plan, which is a good one that I have experimented with last month, and I know it can work for me. The big “if” is if I can stay on track when there are stresses or disappointments. That’s everyone’s life isn’t it? Today, I spiraled down the tube after the robo call telling us how many “cases” we have, and that we must wear our masks.
I’m really looking forward to your online lessons. You have offered plenty of practical helps and tools in the past.

Looking forward to this on-line instruction. I have tried everything (TOPS, WW, OA) and have learned several great lessons. The best and most important lesson I have learned comes from Overeaters Anonymous.
I must always remember that I am only one compulsive bite away from a binge.
But I also know that i want to be able to live without a cloud over my head. I am hoping you can teach me how to do that.

Hi Bill-
Thanks for your note. You are SO not alone in this struggle. I hope the program will be helpful to you. It sounds like you know some of the most important things that work for you already – keep doing those things faithfully! Wishing you the best in your journey. Linda
