From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 36
Create a list of your strengths.
Hold tightly to the belief that you have these strengths, even during times when you don’t feel them or do them.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. In the space below, write “My strengths, even if I don’t always believe them or do them.”
MY STRENTHS, EVEN IF I DON’T ALWAYS BELIEVE THEM OR DO THEM.
2. Then using the categories of physical attributes, skills and abilities, and personality traits, create a list of your strengths.
The list in the book is actually my own list, adapted for my story about Megan. I still like everything on the list and try to remind myself often that all of these strengths still exist inside of me. Here’s my list.
Physical attributes: Healthy, good weight, athletic, strong, attractive, pretty, appealing, sexy, active, energetic.
Skills and abilities: Intelligent, knowledgeable, quick learner, competent, organized, creative, detail oriented, good worker, quick thinker, decisive, confident, good aunt to my nieces and nephews.
Personality traits: Sensitive, intuitive, thoughtful, caring, kind, gentle, patient, loving, assertive, fun, enjoyable to be with.
3. When you finish your list read it out loud. Write a note about how this feels.
Reading the list ALWAYS boosts my confidence and my energy. It reminds me of so many things I let slip away from my thoughts.
By the way, I originally wrote this list in 1991. Funny how it all still fits for me.
