From 100 MORE Days of Weight Loss, Day 33
Sometimes you could really use some nurturing or a bit of encouragement. But there’s no one to give you attention or kindness when you need it.
As a result, learn how to take care of your own needs for nurturing.
Here are my answers to the three questions at the end of the lesson.
1. Create your list of What I Love. Include at least twenty items.
Here is my list:
Picnics*
Concerts, plays
Sewing, crafts*
Eating out with friends
Dancing*
Coffee with friends
Writing, creating
Reading, book discussions
Cooking healthy meals*
Playing tennis*
Taking long walks*
Playing the piano
Singing, entertaining others*
Watching blue skies, clouds, stars*
My dogs
Time with my husband
Traveling*
Having adventures
Drinking coffee
2. Mark any that you haven’t done or appreciated in the past six months.
See the starred ones above.
3. Choose one thing from your list and use it today for nurturing or encouragement.
I will focus on music today:
Play the piano
Listen to music while I’m working
Purchase and download a new song
Sing one of my favorite hymns such as Amazing Grace
Music always heals me! It gives me peace, connection and a feeling of being nurtured.
